The ballium is located in the natural reserve Cavagrande of Cassibile, in the Val di Noto. It was originally built in the first half of the nineteenth century, in the characteristic Sicilian noble architectural style of the period, called “baglio” . It has a courtyard from which you can access the common areas, guest rooms and the manor house.
It has been renovated in the conservative style. The renovation works were finished in March 2018. For different types of rooms have been added, all in with high quality materials and furnished with every type of comfort.
Furthermore the ballium represents the ideal location to organize events and anniversaries , thanks to the wide internal and external spaces available for our guests.
The enchanting scenery of citrus groves and the hills and mountain of south-eastern Sicily on one side and the sea view on the other will make your stay more enchanting.

The construction is located in the “Val di Noto” and from there you can reach Syracuse, with its prestigious archeological sites and the island of Ortigia (only 20 km by car), Noto is also within easy reach with its baroque (only 10 km by car). You can easy reach Ragusa, Modica and the nature reserve of Vendicari and Pantalica.
It is possible to go on pleasant outings on foot or by bike in the Cavagrande Cassibile Reserve and along the Syracuse coast. Adjacent to the building there is a small airfield where you can take flying lessons and scenic views.
Our guests can take advantage of the playgroung for the children, go mountain biking , and rent canoes and pedal boats at the nearby “Spiaggia del Gelsomineto”. You can book guided nature excursions with experts guides.
